Thank you for your interest in Wisconsin Independent Network (WIN). We're
pleased to offer you our state-of-the-art fiber optic network in Wisconsin,
Minnesota, and Illinois.
It is hard to believe, but nine years have passed since Wisconsin
Independent Network began operations as a humble ten-node SONET ring in
northwestern Wisconsin. It sure has been a busy nine years! In the
midst of negative news and developments in the telecommunications industry
earlier this decade, Wisconsin Independent Network is very proud to have
weathered the storm to become a vibrant, growing company across the region. We
are a profitable firm entering our tenth year of doing business as a regional
fiber optic carrier.
Over the years WIN has added over 2500 miles of fiber network, building nine
SONET OC-48 rings and adding fifty new points of presence, many in rural
Wisconsin. See our latest news
releases.
Our goal has always been to be the premier network provider in Wisconsin
and eastern Minnesota. We operate a SONET based OC-192
network over 100% fiber optic facilities using Nortel and Cisco optics and
electronics. We offer private line services at T1, DS3, OC-n and Ethernet
rates, in addition to wavelength services throughout Wisconsin
and eastern Minnesota, and northern Illinois. Click
here for a map of our network.
While we operate in the larger cities of Wisconsin,
Minnesota and Illinois, a niche of ours has been in the
smaller, under-served communities, typically those of our member
independent telcos. And we do so cost-effectively for you!
WIN has a wide range of customers trusting their traffic to our
state-of-the-art network. Many are telecommunications providers themselves,
including a large number of wireless service providers in Wisconsin. Look
to WIN for your bandwidth needs!
We know that service reliability is key for our
customers. The majority of our Network
POP sites are located in environmentally controlled telecommunication central
offices. Our nine fully redundant SONET
Rings provide the highest level of service reliability. WIN has over 100 highly
trained technicians from member
independent telephone companies taking care of its network. These same
technicians provide their own communities in Wisconsin and Minnesota
with some of the best local telephone service available anywhere. The
technicians at our Network Operations Center in Eau Claire
are highly trained and responsive to your needs.
We are very proud to be a founding and charter member of the Independent
Alliances Telecom Group (INDATEL) trade association. This effort with
twenty-one other statewide networks holds tremendous potential for our firm.
INDATEL's initial focus is a national joint marketing
effort of our individual state-wide networks.
See INDATELs web site at INDATELgroup for additional information.
